The OnePlus Ace 5 is set to launch in China on December 12, alongside its more advanced sibling, the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. Ahead of the official announcement, details about the display and battery of the standard OnePlus Ace 5 model have been leaked, providing a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming device.
OnePlus Ace 5 Specifications (Leaked)
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared the details on Weibo, the OnePlus Ace 5 will feature a large 6,415mAh battery, a notable upgrade over its predecessor, the OnePlus Ace 3, which had a 5,500mAh battery. The Ace 5 is also expected to support 80W fast charging, a slight downgrade compared to the OnePlus Ace 3's 100W SuperVOOC charging capability.
The device will sport a 6.78-inch BOE X2 8T LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution. This is similar to the display found on the OnePlus 13, featuring high-end BOE X2 technology. The screen is expected to support an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, ensuring smooth visuals and responsiveness.
In terms of design, the OnePlus Ace 5 is rumored to have a metal middle frame, crystal shield glass, and a ceramic body, providing a premium look and feel. The phone will also feature a three-stage alert slider, a signature feature of OnePlus devices.
Launch and Global Availability
The OnePlus Ace 5 is confirmed to launch in China at 2:30 PM local time (12:00 PM IST) on December 12. The company has already teased the device, showing images of its flat display, slim bezels, and hole-punch design. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, ensuring top-tier performance. Meanwhile, the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is expected to come with the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
In global markets, the OnePlus Ace 5 may be launched as the OnePlus 13R, following the trend of its predecessor, the OnePlus Ace 3, which was sold internationally as the OnePlus 12R.
