Apple has rolled out the iOS 26 Beta 9 update for developers and beta testers, a week after Beta 8. While it introduces no new features, the update focuses on fixing multiple bugs affecting Apple Intelligence, Bluetooth, Camera, CarPlay, Siri, software performance, and the Weather app.

Compatibility and Installation
The update is available as an over-the-air (OTA) download for iPhone 11 and later models to registered developers and public beta users. Apple Intelligence features remain limited to the iPhone 16 series and the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. Users can install the update via Settings > General > Software Update > Install Now.
Bug Fixes in iOS 26 Beta 9
iOS 26 Beta 9, build number 23A5308g, addresses a storage bug that caused software updates to reserve excess space. Siri’s Apple Intelligence now handles knowledge requests with updated data, correcting previous errors where ChatGPT-based results were outdated.
The update also resolves issues in the Camera app, where mode selection pickers remained expanded, and fixes problems with Image Playground and Genmoji modifiers, particularly for Japanese-language users. Additional patches improve stability for Kernel, Contacts, Journaling, lock screen, App Intents, WebKit, and more.
Looking Ahead
The iOS 26 Beta 9 update is expected to accompany the iPhone 17 series, which Apple plans to showcase at its “Awe Dropping” event on September 9.

Exciting update! iOS 26 Beta 9 looks promising with smoother performance and enhanced features. It’s interesting to see Apple rolling this out just before the iPhone 17 launch.
